🔹 Development Assistant

  • Total Vacancies: will be announced in the official notification

  • Vacancies are distributed state-wise across categories including UR, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PWBD, and EXS.

  • Major vacancy states include Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, and others.

🔹 Development Assistant (Hindi)

  • Total Vacancies: will be announced 

  • Location-wise vacancies for Development Assistant (Hindi) will be notified in the official notification

📌 Candidates can apply for only one post and one state.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit 

  • Minimum Age: 21 years

  • Maximum Age: 35 years

Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST: +5 years

  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): +3 years

  • PWBD: up to +15 years (category-wise)

  • Ex-Servicemen: Service period + 3 years (maximum age 50 years)

🎓 Educational Qualification

✔ Development Assistant

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks

  • Pass class for SC/ST/PWBD/Ex-Servicemen

✔ Development Assistant (Hindi)

  • Bachelor’s Degree (English/Hindi medium) with Hindi & English as subjects

  • Minimum 50% marks (pass class for reserved categories)

  • Must be able to translate English ↔ Hindi

📌 Candidates must be proficient in the official language of the state applied for.

📝 Selection Process

🔹 Phase I – Preliminary Examination (Online)

Development Assistant

  • English Language – 40 marks

  • Numerical Ability – 30 marks

  • Reasoning – 30 marks

  • Total: 100 marks | Duration: 60 minutes

Development Assistant (Hindi)

  • English Language – 40 marks

  • Professional Knowledge (Hindi) – 30 marks

  • Reasoning – 30 marks

📌 Preliminary exam is qualifying in nature.

🔹 Phase II – Main Examination (Online)

Common Structure (200 Marks):

  • Reasoning

  • Quantitative Aptitude / Professional Knowledge (Hindi)

  • General Awareness (Agriculture, Rural Development & Banking)

  • Computer Knowledge

  • English Descriptive Test (Essay, Precis, Letter/Report Writing)

⏱ Objective Test: 90 minutes | Descriptive Test: 30 minutes

🔹 Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

  • Applicable to candidates who have not studied the official state language in Class 10/12

  • Qualifying in nature

  • Conducted at respective Regional Offices

❌ Negative Marking

  • ¼ mark deducted for each wrong answer in objective tests (both phases)
