How to Prepare According to the New RO ARO Exam Pattern? Preparation should run simultaneously on three tracks.Stage-IFocus on syllabus coverage, short notes, PYQs, MCQs and repeated revision.Stage-IIPractise Essay, Precis, Translation and Comprehension from the beginning rather than after the Prelims result.Stage-IIIPractise English typing regularly until 25 WPM becomes comfortable, not merely achievable.A strong preparation cycle is:Learn → Practise → Test → Analyse → Revise Common Mistakes Candidates Should Avoid The biggest mistake is following an outdated exam pattern instead of the 2026 official scheme.Another mistake is spending all preparation time on Stage-I even though the final merit is decided through Stage-II and Stage-III.Candidates should also avoid:postponing descriptive writing, ignoring Hindi-English translation, treating computer typing as a formality, studying from too many sources, andtaking mock tests without analysing errors. The new pattern rewards candidates who prepare all three stages together.
